Yesterday's Craft Project

I have a friend getting married on Cape Cod later this summer. She wanted something simple for the table numbers that reflected the yacht club where the reception will be held. I came up with these fun craft flags covered in nautical paper.

Corgi

Here is the man, a day after his 15th!!! birthday.
He is looking up to say thanks for the delicious "puppy pop." (Frozen custard and peanut butter)

Today's Craft Project (and Tip)

My large circle punch had lost its "punch."

I read that you can use wax paper, aluminum foil, lots of things to sharpen it. I decided my soda can would be the best, and it made some cool punches as well:

Ok, so I needed the sharp punch to make circles for a paper bowl. I had picked out some cool wrapping paper for the outside, but inside I used a gold and red Lokta paper. (It was left over from my wedding last year.) I punched a ton of circles, not knowing how many I would need. I also gathered my bowl, saran wrap, glue and brush.

I wrapped the bowl I selected with saran wrap on the outside. This will serve as the base for the glue and paper. Then I started gluing. I did the red paper with the side I wanted in the center of the bowl facing the saran wrap. Then I covered the rest with the wrapping paper, this time with the pattern on the outside.

Here is what it looks like with a layer of mod podge/pva on the outside. It will take about 24 hours to dry and then I will peel off the saran wrap from the bowl and then the paper.

Here are two bowls I completed earlier this week:

Today's Craft Project

I came across these shaped chip boards in my closet today and thought I would use some scraps of paper to cover them.

Here are the tools I gathered to start - chip board hearts, paper, pva glue, brush, exacto-knife, scissors, ruler and bone folder:

I then covered the heart in glue, and mounted it on the paper.

Then, after the glue dried for a bit, I cut out the heart using the exacto-knife. I used the bone folder the make sure my paper was smooth on the front of the chip board.

Here are all the completed 8 hearts:

Today's Craft Project

I was in Container Store...a place that blows my type-A mind. I have always loved the page flags:

So I decided to get crafty with them and came up with this design on mat board, using Mod Podge to stick and seal.
